Polyvinyl Chloride Resin (Suspension Grade)

About This Product
Polyvinyl chloride resin, CAS 9002-86-2, is supplied here as suspension-polymerised white powder in the Chinese SG grading system. The SG number runs inversely to molecular weight: SG1 is the highest K value and SG8 the lowest. That number determines what the resin can be made into. High K value resin has long chains that give strength and toughness but a high melt viscosity, so it needs more plasticiser and suits soft, demanding articles. Low K value resin flows easily and suits rigid injection moulding and thin-wall bottles where the part must fill a mould before it degrades. SG5 sits in the middle and is the general-purpose grade behind most pipe, profile and rigid sheet. Declared applications by grade: SG1 and SG2 for advanced electroplating insulate material, membrane and common soft products; SG3 for shielded wire and cable, agricultural film and all-plastic sandals; SG4 for industrial and agricultural film, flexible tube and high-strength tube; SG5 for transparent products, hard tube, PVC pipe, profile, conduit, plate and heat shrinkable film; SG6 for record and transparent slice material, hardboard, welding rod and fibre; SG7 for bottles and transparent material, hard injection tube and perchloroethylene resin; SG8 for bottles, sheets, calendering, rigid injection, moulding pipes, fittings and foam board. Juxing resells resin from major Chinese producers including Ordos, Zhongtai, Tianye, Beiyuan, Junzheng, Sanlian, Dagu, Cangzhou Chemical, Sanyou, Sinopec, Xinfa, Hanwha, Ningbo Formosa, Shanghai Chlor-alkali, Guangxi Huayi and Ningxia Younglight.
