2,2,4-Trimethyl-1,3-pentanediol diisobutyrate (CAS 6846-50-0) is the di-ester version, with both hydroxyls capped. Having no free hydroxyl it does not evaporate out, so it acts as a permanent plasticiser rather than a coalescent.
