Barium Cadmium Zinc Heat Stabiliser

About This Product
Barium cadmium zinc stabilisers are liquid mixed-metal systems that were, for many years, the standard route to clarity and long-term heat stability in flexible and transparent PVC. BCZ-T315 is supplied as a liquid in 200 kg drums and is declared for PVC transparent products. Cadmium carboxylates are exceptionally effective at substituting labile chlorine and give excellent initial colour and clarity, with barium soaps providing the long-term stability and zinc contributing early colour hold. The combination is technically strong, which is why it persisted long after the toxicity of cadmium was understood. That toxicity now governs where it can be used. Cadmium and its compounds are restricted in the EU under REACH and excluded from many consumer, food-contact and electrical applications elsewhere. This grade should be selected only where cadmium is demonstrably permitted for the finished article and the destination market, and the regulatory position confirmed before contracting. Where it is not, the barium zinc and calcium zinc grades in this range are the direct replacements.
