    Nano Titanium Dioxide

    About This Product

Nano titanium dioxide is TiO2 in nanopowder form: a white powder with a particle size of 50 nm and a purity in the range 99.5–99.99%. Titanium dioxide has two commercially important crystal forms, rutile, the thermodynamically stable one, and anatase, the form generally preferred for photocatalysis, and both are listed here. The rutile type is used in electronic materials, batteries and new-energy applications, other industrial uses and ceramic sputtering targets. The anatase type goes into catalysts and photocatalysts, functional coatings and electronic components. The grade data name rutile in the product description but list uses for both types, so confirm the crystal form, purity and particle size distribution of the lot offered, together with its specific surface area. The nanoform needs specific coverage in the EU or UK REACH registration under which it is imported. This is a technical grade, not a food ingredient: titanium dioxide is no longer authorised as a food additive in the EU.
