Barrier is the property that usually blocks a switch away from conventional multilayer film: the compostable single-layer alternatives often cannot hold the shelf life. This compound is formulated as a layer within a co-extruded structure, where each layer does one job. Achievable transmission rates depend on the full structure, the layer ratios and the gauge, so the barrier specification is confirmed against your line and target shelf life rather than quoted in isolation. Supplied as a raw material for processing on the buyer's own line. We do not produce finished articles.
