Dimethyltin Dichloride (DMTC)

About This Product
Dimethyltin dichloride, CAS 753-73-1, is a white crystalline organotin compound, offered here both as solid crystal under the code JX-M100TC and as a transparent aqueous solution under the code DMTC. It has two distinct markets. In the plastics chain it is the precursor from which methyltin mercaptide stabilisers are produced, and the aqueous solution is sold explicitly for producing methyl tin. In glass manufacture it is the tin source for the online coating process: sprayed onto hot float glass it pyrolyses to deposit a thin fluorine-doped tin oxide layer, giving the low-emissivity and conductive coatings used in energy-efficient glazing and in photovoltaic substrates. It is also listed as a raw material for esterification reaction catalysts. Solid grade is packed 1200 kg IBC tote (21,600 kg per 20-foot container) or 250 kg drum (20,000 kg per container); the solution is packed in plastic drum, IBC tote or customised packaging.
