JX-LB-EPFF is a polyester wax supplied as a white powder in 25 kg paper-plastic composite bags. The supplier attributes its performance to a unique molecular structure that combines lubricating and dispersing behaviour in one additive. The dispersing function is the important one. Pigment supplied as dry powder exists as agglomerates that must be wetted and broken down for colour strength to develop; a dispersant adsorbs onto the freshly created pigment surface and prevents the particles re-agglomerating. Doing that from the same additive that provides internal and external lubrication reduces the number of components competing for space in a masterbatch formulation. Declared performance covers engineering plastics and polyolefins, with excellent internal and external lubrication, wetting and dispersion in PA, ABS, PC, PS, PBT, PE and PP. It is used widely for plastics modification and masterbatch pigment dispersion.
