About This Product
Nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN), CAS 1094-61-7, is a nucleotide built from nicotinamide, ribose and a phosphate group. The powder is white and 99% pure, with 95% passing 80 mesh and loss on drying and ash each held at 5.0% or less. Heavy metals are capped at 10 ppm and arsenic, lead, cadmium and mercury at 2 ppm apiece, and it is sterilised by heat rather than irradiation. Cosmetic chemists add NMN to the water phase of serums, essences, creams and sheet masks. Stored sealed and away from moisture and direct sunlight, NMN keeps for 24 months. NMN is supplied solely as a cosmetic ingredient: sold as a food or food supplement it would need novel food authorisation in the UK and EU. Before ordering, ask for the assay method and confirm the appearance, since the data sheet describes both needle crystals and a plain white powder, and check the loss-on-drying and ash limits against a current batch certificate.
