    Beeswax

Beeswax – Cosmetic & Personal Care product from Bio Green Chem

    About This Product

Beeswax is a natural wax produced by honey bees. Its chemistry combines long-chain wax esters with hydrocarbons, free fatty acids and smaller fractions of related constituents. This mixture gives beeswax a balance of structural strength and pliability that cannot be described by a single molecular formula. Within an oil-rich formulation, beeswax can build consistency and modify cohesion, application drag and the deposited film. Its performance depends on the chosen oil phase, other waxes and cooling conditions. In an emulsion, it contributes to the lipid structure; any emulsifying contribution must be assessed as part of the full emulsifier system. Select white or yellow material according to the intended colour and odour profile. Review identity, purity, acid and ester characteristics and the grade’s thermal behaviour with the nominated source. Confirm animal-origin requirements and applicable documentation. Compare hardness, oil retention and storage stability in the finished blend before finalising the specification.
