Soap Noodles

About This Product
Soap Noodles are a semi-finished soap base formed into small extruded pieces for further processing. The main cleansing components are salts of fatty acids, usually sodium salts in conventional solid-bar bases. Their hydrocarbon chains interact with oily soil while the ionic head groups interact with water, giving soap its surfactant function. A noodle base can be produced by saponifying fats or by neutralising fatty acids. The selected fatty-acid distribution influences bar hardness, lather and wear, while moisture and total fatty matter affect processing and finished-bar properties. Fragrance, colour and other permitted ingredients are incorporated during an appropriate mixing, refining and finishing sequence. Select the base by its declared fatty-acid composition and intended soap process. Agree total fatty matter, moisture, free alkali, colour and any added constituents before production trials. Confirm the ingredient declaration and personal-care documentation for the offered grade, then evaluate extrusion, stamping and bar performance on the actual equipment.
