PVC External Lubricant

Lubricants in PVC are divided by where they act. An external lubricant has limited compatibility with the polymer, so it migrates to the melt surface and forms a film between the compound and the hot metal of the screw, die or roll. That film controls friction and release; without it PVC sticks to the metal, degrades in place and leaves deposits that mark the extrudate. The trade-off is that too much external lubricant delays fusion, weakens the weld lines in a profile and can plate out on the die. Grade selection is therefore about matching the release effect to the process temperature and shear, which is why a range exists rather than a single product. JX-LB-6A is for PVC processing, master batches and rubber lubrication. JX-LB-100 in both powder and white round flake form is for pipe, fittings and foam board. JX-LB-102 covers PVC processing, master batches, hot melt adhesive and road marking. JX-LB-617A adds CPVC processing. L-G70S is a pale yellow powder or flake for aggregate, plate and calendered film processing, packed in cartons with PE liner. L-G74 is a light yellow to white solid used as an external lubrication release agent for rigid PVC profile, plate, pipe fittings and louvers.
