Dibutyltin Maleate

About This Product
Dibutyltin maleate is the butyltin counterpart of methyltin maleate: a sulphur-free organotin stabiliser supplied as a white amorphous powder rather than a liquid. The maleate ligand scavenges hydrogen chloride through its carboxylate groups, and its carbon-carbon double bond can add across the conjugated polyene sequences that give degraded PVC its colour, interrupting the chromophore. Being sulphur-free it produces no mercaptan odour and will not stain in contact with lead or copper, which matters in clear articles and in electrical applications. Declared applications are rigid clear products, ABS engineering plastics and condensation catalysis. Packed 25 kg per drum, 360 drums per 20-foot full container load, 9,000 kg per container, 18 drums per pallet.
