About This Product

Dibutyltin dilaurate, CAS 77-58-7, is a light yellow transparent liquid and the best known organotin catalyst in industry. The tin centre carries two laurate ligands, and it is offered here in normal and anti-UV versions. As a catalyst it accelerates the isocyanate-hydroxyl reaction that forms polyurethane and the condensation cure of RTV silicone rubber. Very small additions shorten gel and tack-free times substantially, which is why it is the default in foam, sealant and elastomer systems. Its reproductive-toxicity classification is the reason formulators in consumer-facing articles increasingly look for alternatives, including the methyl tin laurate in this same range. In PVC it serves a second role: the supplier describes it as a polyvinyl chloride plastic auxiliary agent, used as a stabiliser in soft transparent products and as a lubricant in hard transparent products. Packed in plastic drums at 1000 kg, or 200 kg net each, with customised packaging available.
