Paste resin is PVC made by emulsion or microsuspension polymerisation into particles far smaller than suspension resin. Those particles do not dissolve when stirred into liquid plasticiser; they disperse, giving a stable liquid called a plastisol that can be spread, dipped, sprayed or poured, and only fuses into solid PVC when heated. That is a fundamentally different processing route from extrusion, and it is what makes artificial leather, flooring, dipped gloves, conveyor belts, wallpaper, toys and automotive underbody coatings possible. The two properties that decide grade selection are degree of polymerisation, which sets the strength of the fused film, and paste viscosity, which sets how the plastisol behaves during coating. The range covers the working span of those properties. High polymerisation grades such as PB1704 suit strength-critical elastic flooring; medium viscosity foaming grades such as PB1156 suit synthetic leather, yoga mats and wallpaper foam layers; low viscosity grades such as PB128 suit light conveyor belts and automotive adhesives. Copolymer grades widen it further: PA70 is a vinyl acetate-vinyl chloride binary copolymer that can replace glue in bonding layers, and PCMA-12 lowers processing temperature for automotive plastisol, carpet backing, printing ink and moulded heels.
