    Microcrystalline Wax

Microcrystalline Wax – Cosmetic & Personal Care product from Bio Green Chem

    About This Product

Microcrystalline Wax is a refined hydrocarbon wax distinguished by its fine crystal structure and a greater contribution from branched and cyclic saturated components than typical macrocrystalline paraffin. These structural differences allow grades with a cohesive, pliable character, although the range includes both softer and harder materials. In formulation, microcrystalline wax is used to adjust consistency, binding and adhesion while helping a wax network retain liquid oil. It can complement paraffin when a blend needs a different balance of flexibility and hardness. Performance depends on the complete oil-and-wax composition and on the heating and cooling history, so it should be assessed in the actual process. Select the grade by penetration or hardness, congealing behaviour, oil content and appearance. Confirm refining history and the purity requirements relevant to the end use. For cosmetic systems, compare the nominated grade in stability, application and packaging trials before fixing the final blend.
