    Carnauba Wax

Carnauba Wax – Cosmetic & Personal Care product from Bio Green Chem

    About This Product

Carnauba wax is a naturally occurring complex wax recovered from the protective coating of carnauba palm leaves. Its solid constituents include long-chain wax esters and related wax components. This chemistry produces a comparatively hard material with a high melting range, making carnauba useful where a softer oil phase needs reinforcement. In sticks and other anhydrous systems, carnauba contributes firmness, surface gloss and resistance to softening during warm storage. It can also modify slip and the way a deposited film feels. The result depends on wax loading, oil compatibility and the balance with more flexible waxes; excessive hardening can reduce the desired payoff. Bio Green Chem supports selection by refining grade, colour, physical form and the required thermal profile. Agree the analytical specification and evaluate brittleness, sweating, mould release and application feel in the finished system. A named wax type or visual colour alone does not establish a cosmetic, food-contact or pharmaceutical grade.
