    Palm Kernel Olein

Palm Kernel Olein – Cosmetic & Personal Care product from Bio Green Chem

    About This Product

Palm kernel olein is the more liquid fraction obtained by controlled crystallisation and separation of palm kernel oil. Fractionation redistributes the existing triglycerides between liquid and solid fractions. It creates a material with a different melting profile from the parent oil without making olein a single chemical compound. For formulation development, this fraction can be evaluated where a lauric lipid blend needs a softer thermal response than a stearin-rich system. Its actual fluidity remains temperature- and grade-dependent. Cosmetic oil-phase and soap projects should therefore specify palm kernel olein explicitly instead of treating it as the same raw material as palm olein or whole palm kernel oil. Review the fatty-acid and triglyceride identity, clouding or solidification behaviour and refining quality. Agree acidity, oxidation, odour and appearance requirements before assessing a sample in the complete formula. Confirm the offered grade and its documentation for the intended personal-care application.
