Coconut Wax

About This Product
Coconut wax is a commercial name used for solidified coconut-oil-based materials. For a hydrogenated coconut oil grade, the main chemistry remains glycerides of coconut fatty acids, while hydrogenation reduces unsaturation and changes solidification behaviour. Some commercial waxes are blends, so the complete composition should be confirmed at the enquiry stage. The material can add a soft, creamy consistency to an oil phase and help adjust the melting behaviour of a wax blend. It is evaluated alongside firmer structurants when the target requires both shape retention and easy application. The achievable texture depends on hydrogenation, blend composition and the amount of liquid oil present. Bio Green Chem selects against the requested refining route, colour, odour, solid-fat behaviour and supplied form. Test softening during storage, separation and texture recovery after temperature cycling. Confirm an application-appropriate specification rather than transferring a candle-wax processing guide to a personal-care formulation.
